Conveyor belt packaging is a crucial part of conveyor belt production and inspection, providing effective protection for safe transportation and long-term storage.
Depending on the type and weight of the conveyor belt, the core can be made of wood or metal cylinders to tightly wind the belt and prevent it from loosening during loading and unloading. The through hole in the center of the core facilitates the loading and unloading of the conveyor belt.
Chevron belts often use metal frames for central support for sturdiness.
For particularly heavy large-roll steel cord conveyor belts produced for long-distance transportation, even stronger and thicker metal frames are often used for support, facilitating loading and unloading by cranes or large forklifts, while also protecting the conveyor belt itself and preventing deformation due to its own weight over long periods of storage.
For conveyor belts that cannot be cut to short lengths, an eyeglasses roll can be formed by winding the belts at both ends towards each other, or by tightly winding an oval metal core on an automated winding machine to form an oval roll. These satisfy the needs of long-distance transportation and adapts to the height restrictions of trucks or containers, enabling smooth land and sea shipment.
The rainproof cloth covering the outer packaging of conveyor belts is usually made of high-strength, weather-resistant synthetic materials such as polyethylene (PE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Sometimes it is reinforced with woven fabric.
Its main functions are to prevent moisture, sun, and dust, and to protect the conveyor belt from environmental damage during transportation and storage, thus ensuring its quality and performance.
The choice of outer packaging for each type of conveyor belt depends on various factors such as the type of conveyor belt, transportation environment, and storage conditions, or it depends on the customer's order requirements.
Product identification is generally fully displayed on the outer packaging surface.
